1. Overview

This Policy explains how the HealthUniverse app ("we", the "Service") collects, uses and protects your data. By using the Service you agree to this Policy. Data questions: [email protected].

2. Data we collect

Account: email address and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash). Health & fitness data you enter yourself: foods, calories and macros, body weight and metrics, sleep, water intake, intermittent fasting, meditation, and workouts/activity. User content: recipes and workout programs you create. Identifiers: an internal user ID. Purchases: your subscription status. We do not collect data through third-party advertising trackers and we do not track you across other apps or websites. We also record basic first-party usage events (e.g. which screens you open and features you use) to improve the app; this is not used for advertising. If you connect Apple Health, we import your weight and active energy; this HealthKit data stays within the app, is never shared with third parties or used for advertising, and is not sent to our AI provider.

3. How we use data

To provide app features (food diary, calorie & macro goals, recipes, workouts, water/fasting/sleep/meditation tracking), to authenticate you, to provide support and security, and to personalize the AI insights you request.

4. AI features

When you use the AI analysis or AI workout features, a summary of your relevant data (e.g. calories, macros, activity) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate your result. It is not used to train models and not used for advertising.

5. Subscriptions

HealthUniverse Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify your subscription status; we receive your purchase status, not your payment card details.

6. Third parties / processors

We do not sell your data. We use service providers acting on our behalf: cloud hosting (Railway), Anthropic (AI features), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Open Food Facts (barcode lookups — only the scanned barcode is sent, no personal data), Sentry (crash diagnostics), and Sign in with Apple / Google (authentication). We may disclose data where required by law.

7. Sharing recipes & programs by link

When you share a recipe or workout program, the recipient receives a separate copy (name, ingredients, macros, exercises). Your email and other personal data are not disclosed.

8. Storage & security

Passwords are stored hashed; access to data is protected by token authentication. Data is retained while your account exists and is deleted when you delete your account, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your rights

You can access your data, correct it in the app, and delete your account together with its data. Requests: [email protected].

10. Account deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Profile → Danger zone). Alternatively, send a request to [email protected] and we will process it within a reasonable time.

11. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

12. International processing

Your data may be processed in other countries by our service providers under appropriate safeguards.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will indicate material changes in the app or by other available means.
